UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa is located in the heart of Trancoso’s Historic Quadrado, where history, culture, nature and design come together. Half of UXUA’s houses date back to the founding of the village and were carefully restored by designer Wilbert Das in collaboration with local artisans, using traditional techniques, reclaimed materials and antiques. Each house has its own personality, preserving stories and elements of old Trancoso. The experience is complemented by UXUA Vida Spa & Lab, the restaurant and beach lounge, as well as five-star service that celebrates the warmth and authenticity of local hospitality.

UXUA occupies a collection of houses in the heart of Trancoso’s Historic Quadrado. Half of them date back to the village’s foundation and were restored by designer Wilbert Das in collaboration with local artisans, preserving traditional architecture, stories and original elements. The project combines reclaimed materials, demolition wood, antiques, Brazilian art and handcrafted pieces. Each house has its own character, gardens and spaces that connect seamlessly with nature, creating an intimate stay deeply rooted in the culture and lifestyle of Trancoso.
Gastronomy
UXUA’s cuisine celebrates the biodiversity and ingredients of southern Bahia, blending international influences with local flavors. Vegetables, eggs and milk come from the organic UXUA Roça farm, while Vida Lab transforms regional ingredients into creative dishes, drinks and culinary experiences.
Experiences
From nature and culture to wellness, UXUA offers hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing. At Vida Spa, guests can enjoy treatments inspired by local traditions. Cultural experiences include capoeira, handicrafts and visits around the region.
